Green Heron Growers harvests 1200+ pounds of certified organic shiitake mushrooms each season. Most are sold fresh, but many are used for delicious umami-flavored creations like this. Our shiitake are log-grown in our woodlot and grow abundantly from spring into the fall. You have to come see it to believe it!
Finishing butter can be used to “finish” meats or vegetables, but we like it best spread on crackers, bagels, pasta or eggs!
